In Cambodia, as part of the Marine Conservation Cambodia (MCC) team, Julie gave multiple talks about ocean conservation and the detrimental effects of plastic pollution on health to local schools and communities.
Throughout her academic career, Julie has delivered outreach talks to a wide variety of audiences, children and adults alike, from experts in their fields to science enthusiasts.
Julie has appeared on several podcasts to discuss her work in biomedical science at Yale and Maastricht University, as well as her research in disease ecology and the effect of climate on vector-borne diseases with the Smithsonian Institute in Panama.
